Have you ever overreacted to something or someone and later wondered why that affected you so much? Sometimes it isn’t the adult in you reacting but the inner child

What is the Inner Child?

The inner child is part of you shaped by early childhood experiences. It carries emotions wounds unmet needs and even good feelings like joy happiness fulfilment.
When ignored it shows up as;
– people pleasing
– anger triggers
– low self worth
– fear of rejection
– hurt

Symptoms your inner child needs healing

Seeking constant validation; you don’t believe in yourself
Fearing abandonment or rejection
Struggling to set boundaries
Always feeling inadequate or not good enough
Get easily triggered in relationships

Healing your Inner Child

  1. Acknowledge your past by accepting the triggers
  2. Reparent yourself – give yourself what you didn’t receive be it love validation safety etc
  3. Constant positive self talk
  4. Practise setting boundaries one by one
  5. Seek therapy support when needed

Always practise loving yourself.
